for the past week i have had trouble starting my car and today it jus died out on me...i replaced the battery like 1-2 years ago...so im guessing its the alternator...when i try to start it, i can hear it click and some other noise, but it wont start...being that my car is a '95, is it about time for me to replace it or should i even have too...any advice would be great

Can you start it with a jump?? If you here a clik and thats it, it could also be ur starter. I had that problem with my 94 LS. Have you ever replaced ur alternator?? because if you have, i doubt that it'd go out on u already. But if you haven't then its on the list of possible causes.

 

You can still start and run your car solely on the battery.

 

Take your battery to Autozone/Pepboys.. and have them check it.. if it's fine, have them check your alternator.. it's free.

 

yea could be Starter , Battery, or altenator ...


like the other guy said .. with jumper cables ..does it start fine or still give you trouble ? if trouble persists .. .prob starter ... other than that .. could be bad battery or alternator .. if the battery cant keep a charge
