Headlight turn signal help req'd
First post cry for help...
I have a 92 Si 4ws. My headlights clicked off without warning while city driving. In their place only the right turn signal remains on (f&r), but only at half intensity, the rear brake lights and corners are fine. Hi-beams are ok. With the hazards on, the lights only the front passenger blinker does not respond. Turning the headlights to on at the stalk effectively disables the hazards, so that no blinking occrs anywhere, f or r. With headlgihts OFF at the stalk, turn signals work though left is slower than stock, and right is faster then stock, and no response from the front one.
I have a helms manual. All connectors or ok. the underhood relay shows continuity as tested. I have not been able to remove the under-dash relay, due to a tight fit for my hands. The dash and steering column are disassembled. My car is unmodified, the intake resonator has been removed, so that the air box feeds from in front of the wheel .
My question, given the symptoms has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions from people better at electronics than me? I plan already on replacing the switch (stalk on steering column) but I don't know what the likelihood of that solveing the problem is.
