Problems witth wiring ecu for b16a swap
does anyone have ideas/comments or skimatics on wiring a 1988 honda crx hf for a b16a swap. I got it wired but i have a check engine light on except when i hit
v-tec the check engine light goes away. Any ideas on what i might have wired up wrong. Plus i have a carbon fiber hood for sale...its a fiber-images hood and i paid $530 for it but will let go for $350. also have spare parts for crx. email me at oneslowtoy@hotmail.com or if u have aim u can get me there at slmmdtoy.

thats the thing my ECU doesnt throw a engine code so thats why im confused. i got the list of engine codes but mine doesnt and i still have a check engine light that goes away with vtec hits
Some sounds very fishy....
So when you start the car up the check engine light is on ?
What is your LED doing on the ECU ? flashing ? nothing ?
Make sure you check the ECU ground at the thermostat housing VERY Critical
Your sure Vtec is coming on > If the Check engine light is on normally a Pr3 or pwo won't let vtec happen with CEL is on.
You didn't rewire the CEL wire to something else by accident ?
What ecu your running pr3 or pwo
happy hunting
