temp ecu what will work
i need a temp ecu to run my zc motor ..while i get my ecu chiped.. what is the cheapest way to get a temp ecu that will work.... btw i have a PR5 ecu anyone no what it`s from i can`t seem to find out
I've never heard of a pr5. You could use a pm6 (88-91 Si) or a pg7 (88-89 teg) ecu. Check in the classified section or ebay, there are always deals on ecus in either place.
thanx but i`m looking for a (CHEAP FIX) to hold me over while i get mine chipped we need the car so i cant have it down wait`n for a ecu i all so don`t want to buy a $100 ecu for a week or so than try to sell it again.. look`n for a really cheap ecu that will run it for like a week.
Well, I don't know of another ecu that will be able to run the zc other than those that I mentioned. I know you can find them for less than $100, maybe even less than $75. Do any of your friends have an extra ecu that you could borrow?
well thanx guys BUT I tryed this pr5 ecu and it`s for a auto trans (code 19) it works.... really it works better than the pm6 that i`m putting a chip in like i said i don`t know what it`s from but it runs smooth and the rev limit it 7200 rpms and i got it with my zc motor but its for a auto tranny so i never tryed it until now.. it`ll work great for a temp.. and cost nill
If you need a PM6, I have a spare (priced right). E-mail if you are interested.
I have no clue what the PR5 is from-but you can check with a local salvage yard or dealer.
