Default JG edelbrock intake manifold ?'s

So i was hanging out at one of the shops around here and the guy started talking about the intake manifold they make for the integras. i asked him about it and he seemed to think it was amazing. he had one in his shop he was going to put on his car and he showed it to me and that thing is HUGE!

does anyone have any experience using it? it looks like it would flow MASSIVE amounts of air but im just wondering if its worth it or not? he said they run about 320 or so, would this actually make a differenc when compared with our intake manifolds?

just curious to see what you guys think about it. gimme some feedback guys! thanks

Ill keep it simple for you. more than likely, your stock manifold is good enough. the JG manifold is best for F/I applications, or SERIOUSLY worked NA motors. I have yet to hear of the JG manifold making more power on a stock or nearly stock motor. I am currently running the JG manifold, and I hope to be able to test and compare the stock manifold versus the JG at an upcoming dyno day, so hopefully we can get some hard numbers to see the differences. we shall see.

sounds good! but im far far from stock anymore...heh.. just got a 2l built block and built head from importbuilders with all kinds of bolt ons for an N/A application. as soon as you get any info regarding it, id love to hear about it.

anyone else have any experience with it?

I think the power it makes is more suited for drag racing , not sure the main use for your car though , I think even JG says it doesnt start flowing till 7K...

Worth on turbo motors or NA applications making above 185whp.Have seen around 7 whp on a 195whp motor over type-r intake manifold.

Thats a nice N/A gain for the money.

I think its the only mani I would get over my R mani. For 320 or less its a nice piece considering the "drag" mani's are 1000+ for STR type etc...JMO

I have yet to see any power gains making that manifold worth the money.
Even on my 240whp motor the STOCK ITR manifold was the best choice.

Your "transient response" will be poor with the edel manifold. Now we need are a bunch of people trying to prove others wrong and impress themselves with pages of nada to figure out why!
