i need a good flat black paint to repaint a lip i just got...and as the topic states...i need some idea what to use. something thats tough enough to take daily driving...and i would rather not clear coat it. needs to be as close to the stock side skirt color as possible. thanks in advance!

 

We used Rustoleum "camoflage" (sp??) paint for my bro's car. hld up quite well for 2 years. Here's a pic when it was green... (the only part that chiped was the front from rocks)

Then it went cow...




The entire car was done with Rustoleum "Camo" every color.

 

WTF? Your brother gets the "Ugliest Paint Job Of The Year Award" .... LOL, oh man - the only thing worse would be blue and pink spray paint! Haha, kinda cool though that he can do it and not care, im too critical

 

you should see the flat black civic hatches I see around here. Ugly as sin.

 

did rain or any type of water leave water marks?
it looks good but always wondered about the actual finish being affected
by everyday wear and tear

 

I think there is a paint that is intended for molding and trim work. Ask your local Honda dealership. They can tell you.

How much more specific should I get? Go buy some trim paint. Honda should what to use. Here are a few that I have found.

make sure you get enough for the sides too or the front will be darker than the sides.
