If I messed a couple lines on my rear window defroster up when I took my tint off...
they have kits to fix them.. i know that for a fact. you put a template down on the line, and paint the conductive material to reconnect each line.. something like that.
i have no idea where to find it though..

You can get the defrost fix-it kits at any automotive store. Wal-Mart probably has some. It's pretty expensive for what you get too. It's almost like liquid copper in a little bottle that you paint on the defrost lines to reconnect them.
It can't not fix it, if your defogger works otherwise, the stuff does conduct electricity.
It's resin, goes on like paint. The stuff even comes with a tiny paint brush.
10 mins, dries completely in a couple hours.

Oookaaaay, let's try this...it can't fail to correct the problem, if the problem is an open circuit, and the resin/paint is applied properly. Better? Electricity is predictable, and the stuff has a low enough resistance that it's able to conduct enough electricity for the contact bridges of an AMD processor to be closed with it.
...I'm not unwell thank you.

I work at detail/tint shop in order to remove tint, we use acid for backwindows since u cant use razor but deffinetly be careful. it does work, just watch the panels dont want to get acid on them, and stay in a well ventilated area. Steam machines help a great deal too
Hmmm...they used a dry heat gun to install and remove my tint when the very pleasant police officer told me I had to remove mine. Neither the installation or the removal had any effect on the lines.
When I bought my Teg, the tint had been scraped off. I only have 3 functional defrost lines, one of which is about 2 lines away from the others. It makes it very hard to see.
I am glad to know that I don't have to buy an entire hatch. Until I read this post, I had no clue they had repair kits
