Hey I just wanted to let everyone know I highley recomend a new clutch and flywheel set up. I bet there have been numerous posts about this topic already but I thought I would share my thoughts. Well the ACT xtreme clutch is insane, soon my left leg is going to be twice as large as my right one from pushing in the clutch because it is so stiff. Shifting through gears is a lot more aggresive and I can chirp 2nd to 3rd easy. The fidanza 7.5lb is crazy, my car revs up a lot easier and I could notice a little increase in acceleration. Overall I am 100% satisfied with this setup and think everyone should think about getting it for there integra.

 

how long did you break in that setup for? i was thinking of going with either the ACT or clutchmasters stage 4 for clutch..and toda/fidanza for flywheel.

I have an Intake, apexi n1 exhaust, act xtreme clutch, fidanza flywheel, tokico shocks, eibach pro kit springs, type r wing, VIS carbon hood, 15" rota slipstreams, and falken azenis tires. Sitting in my garage is my JDM dc 4-1 header I am just waiting to get my 2.5" carsound cat so i can get the header on also my aem pulley kit should come sometime soon.

 

hey...nice....well...i wanna share sumthing in hea too....well..its about my fren integraLs....yeah he has a ACT clutch too....heavy duty plate and a 6 puck disc....yeah....but no flywheel yet....but yeah anyways..u said u can chirp 2nd and 3rd easily..??...thats good....but can u chirp 4th gear and sumtimes good enough to chirp 5th also too..yea 5th gear..that might sound werid but yeah....my fren integ, chirp all the way the to 5th gear after he installed the clutch.....easily.....im pretty sure its not no cheap tires or anything he could do 5th most of the times.......he has sum khumo tires....but yeah jus his car does grab hella hard tho....good clutches!!...he has basic bolts on rite now...he jus got done build up his head......but yeah....jus wondering if u could chirp to 5th also???...because sum of my frens cars such as GSR...they cant chirp to 5th only 4th the farthest....can urs??...

Sounds good, I was looking at the fidanza fly wheel during the groupbuy a while back but then I would have just had a flywheel and no money for a clutch, so I bought a TV

When I get the funds I'll be sure to be shopping for this setup or something similar(fidanza with whatever clutch).

who gives a shxt if he can chirp going into fifth. that just means he has some shitty *** tires. no gsr w/ bolt ons is going to spin the tires through 5th because of the power.

I've chirped going into 4th (cm stage 4). I haven't tried rippin into 5th though.

And to the person that said his friend can chirp 5th.... I'm from Fremont too and I would love to see this.

 

I broke my clutch in for 400 miles.
It is pretty stiff, I mean it is definetly streetable but like goign to school there is one entrance in and there is like a 10 min. line at a stop sign so that 10min sucks because I put the clutch in and let it out ove 20 times but oh well I love the set up.

 

OT: but how's the CM stage 4 ? (in terms of streetability) the only aftermarket clutch ive driven w/ was a centerforce dual friction in an rx7....definitely not very streetable.

 

I think there is a misconception of clutches. Yes you want a clutch that grabs, but you want it to be in relation to your power. Chirping your tires through every gear really doesn't make sense. You do not want your clutch slipping, but the tires breaking loss because of the clutch grab is not what you want to look for.

Great review....I too have a Fidanza 7lb. flywheel in my GSR, along with a JDM FD, Kaaz 1.5 way LSD, and ITR 1-5th gear ratios.

acceleration is real nice.....and revs up real nice too....i havent ran it at the track yet so I havent experienced the maximum potential of this set-up

 

Excellent. This is something that 90% of import drivers need to realize.

 

I honestly would rather be getting traction than spinning tires.
