Hit the driver harder.
Or you can drill it out with any hss bit.
This may be obvious but make sure you have the driver in the right rotation.Ihave yet to see a screw that would not come out with a impact driver, provided the slot was not screwed.
May take 5 or 6 good wallops!

You have to drill them out. It took me 5 high speed steel bits to do them. I still haven't replaced them yet. Good luck, this can be a real bitch. I did use the inpact driver at first but to no avail.
wholy crap.... do they have to do that all the time. Sounds pretty common, I need to have a wheel stud replaced, acura was going to do that..... I hope that they dont drill them

This is how it is done:
Take a ball peen hammer, you know, this one:
Hold the round side on the screw head, and hit the flat side with another hammer. Hit it hard. The shock will loosen it, and you can now take the screw out with a normal screwdriver. I Broke my impact driver on that screw before I tried the ghetto trick. Keep It Simple, Stupid.

I had to pry it off with a large pry bar and it snapped the head or the screw right off. I guess this would be ur last option....i had no choice with a track day the next morning.

The thing I get a kick out of with these screws is the Helm's manual says those screws are suppossed to be in there with 6-7 lb/ft of tourque. The screws certainly didn't come from the factory only torqued to that. Had to beat two of them out with impact driver first time I changed rotors.
Impact driver from sears did the job on my friends G2 that had some old rotors on it.
Hit it a few times and turn, and before you know it, the screws are loose.
Great tool, perfect for the job

I wasn't aware there were any bad side effects from leaving the screws out. I removed mine 8 months ago. Shouldn't the wheel hold the rotor in place?
I had no screws on the rotors in my integra for 2 years without any problems. They don't do anything when the wheel is properly torqued in place.
It's the impact driver everyone has been talking about. Hit it with a hammer and it will apply up to 200 lbs-ft of torque so it says on the package. I have one of these too and it worked for the most part. However there was one screw for me that was in so bad that all the impact driver did was strip it faster.
