Hey I have been searching but I can't seem to find an answer. Does anyone know if I can use the caps on my C-8s?

 

Why would you want to put them on to begin with?

i dont typically call something rice....but trying to be something youre not, or say you have something you dont...cmon. its just a lower level of having spoon stickers all over your ride without having anything but a spoon radiator cap...

 

I dont care about knock offs, but dont go and put something that shouldnt be there on those rims.

 

You know I don't even know why I didn't think of that...

Oh and for those that think I am trying to be ricey.. I'm not.. The C-8s are going on my Mazda RX-7 FC. The FC has some big ugly *** caps and the Rota caps are almost as bad. My bro said that the MF8 comes with a different cap and that might look better so I thought I would ask.. where else to ask than a Honda forum!

Don't know why I didn't think of just painting the Rota caps flat black.. that will work well.

Ugh, lets not start this crap...

I dont think they will fit, but Im not 100% sure. I would paint them flat black if thats the color of your Rotas...I'd like to get a bronze color that matches mine and paint them bronze....the Rota caps are totally fugly.

Because I don't like the way the stock Rota caps look and these seemed to be the only alternative. I'm not TRYING to make anything look like something it's not.. it's just that I like the way the Mugen caps look better..

Nobody in the crowd of people that I hang around with even know what Mugen is except maybe my brother..

I have bronze rims but black lugs.. I think if I can match the cap to lugs that could be pretty cool.

I would assume they would fit but the only way to know is calling King Motorsports. I think the C8's have a metal center cap that can be sanded and polished. Personally looks better than the Mugen style, I don't like the cone shape.

Like I've said before and what the original poster thought was a great idea. Paint them black. This is the Mugen look, and much cleaner IMO, and it's at no added cost since he already has them. Why spend upwards of 40 bucks just to have the same results as a 2.57 can of Krylon high gloss black. 25% more free now too! Just got a couple cans at Wal Mart!...lol

 

I painted mine flat black and it came out pretty good.

 

If you're going to paint them black problem solved, but more then likely the answer will probably linger because a majority of the people leave the center caps off the wheel. Could that not also be a sign of trying to deceive people into believing the something that is untrue? Bigger question does it really matter, if you answered yes, then you need to spend a little less time being concerned with what other people are going to think.

So you know what the original poster's intentions are in this thread, but if this just an attempt to get the information out to the general public, couldn't you have done so in your own thread?

I believe if anyone views your statement repeatedly for the rest of the night they will come to the same conclusion I initially came to. I doubt I have to list the resolution for anyone.

Hey if you can play off your $400 Rotas for some $2000 Mugens, why the hell not!?!? Just don't get caught
