Default Heater problem

My cool/hot control got jammed so I took the console apart and unhooked the two wire arms, well I then went under the hood and flipped the heater lever that come out of the firewall and either way it was turned still no hot air would come out. The vents blow a **** load of air out but it dosent get hot. Is their a diffrent motor that blows the hot air then the motor that blows the air out the vent?
