b18c oil question

b18c oil question

I have a **** load of 5w30 oil at my house(castrol gtx). I was wondering if i can just use that or if i need to use a higher weight such as 10w30. sorry if this sounds like a noob question, but i just got my swap done i was just wondering. If it matters, i bascially have all teh bolt ons too.

I use Castrol GTX 5W-30

82,000 miles on the motor

I think my car is running very well and not burning any noticable amounts of oil

5w30 is recommended by Honda. However, I always used 10w30.

This is from Temple of VTEC Asia's site, so it may differ slightly from Acura in the US recommendations, but seeing as all honda/acura engine come from japan, then it should pretty much apply everywhere. I have a JDM Integra so when i read this it pretty much swayed me towards semi synth oil rather than fully synth.
