DA struts and springs on an EF, Possible?
Just as the topic says, looking to move my Tokico illumina struts and ground control springs from the '91 integra to a '91 EF STD. I have been told the springs will bolt right in but I MAY need new front forks from an integra to allow the struts to fit. Anyone know the details on this?
Thx in advance.
Thx in advance.
The forks will cross over from the 90-93 Integra to the 88-91 Civic/CRX cars. The change comes on the 92 and Up Civic family and 94 and up Integra.
Forks are not your issue, shock length and spring perch placements are. Unless you want your car to sit too high on the overly long Integra shocks, this is not a good crosover. The rear shocks from a 94+ Integra and 92-95 Civc are a direct cross to your car but the 90-93 Integra is too long, especially onthe rear.

I agree to some extent... I though the the DA=ef suspension, more or less... only the da had stiffer springs... in any case I am running DA rate GCs and EG/DC kyb agx struts.

You can complete the changeover without changing forks. Only on the 92-95 civic suspension you would have to change the front forks.
And about the length of shocks, the 90-93 teg and EF shocks were compared and were the same lengths (almost identical), but the 92-95 EG shocks are longer than EF, i know that for a fact because i have REAR EG shocks on my crx and they are longer and my car sits about an inch higher.

actually the rear shocks are the same on both 89-91 civics and 92-95.. for at least kyb agx.. check the part numbers! fronts are taller
You guys all said something different. Anyone care to comment on if I can use both the struts/springs without having my car offroading or having too little suspension travel?
If worse comes to worse I guess I can just wait until i get the EF and try it out. I was real excited because I wanted higher spring rates on the GC's and if I used the ones from my DA they would be perfect.
Thx guys - let me know if anyone has any further info.

Thanks man, that helped clear up everything!!!
i think i'll either sell the tokico struts from the DA and get some EF struts or sell all of the suspension and find a set of full coilovers.

so da/ef are interchangeable up front without a difference in ride height, but in the rear using DA shocks on an EF will increase the ride height? longer shock = higher ride height?
