Default Side skirts or body kit?

I wanted to know your opinion on body kits. I have a 99 coupe and was thinking of getting a nice lip put on and just painting my side skirts. If I do this, should I get a bumper too. Do they make lips for rear bumpers? Or, shold I just get a full body kit? Just wanted to know your opinion.

um, besides this belonging in the appearance forum, hardly anyone here supports rice.
a discrete CF or OEM Lip and a duckbill spoiler are usually acceptable.. but were all about cleanlyness and speed here. Just a warning, your probably going to get flammed for even mentioning it.

last time i checked not all body kits were rice, there are some nice ones, besides body kits do serve a purpose......looks, so it doesnt make them rice. do what you want its your car and your the one thats going to be seen in it. do a search for some pics and see if you can find anything similar to what you want.

Honda Tech = Function over Form.

Then again, it's your car. If you think a body kit would look good, go right ahead.

I think that body kits are more trouble than they are worth. I have a WW RS kit on my crx that I regret because it costs too much to buy and get painted for one, then you always have to worry about fitment too, plus they always seem to get torn up causing you to spend more money to fix it and paint it again. On my 99 hatch, I just color-matched all of the original moldings and bought front and rear lips and I am so much happier. Plus the clean stock look is in these days

the clean stockish look dosent scream "come hijack me" or "im trying to look faster than i really am". granted, if you have a car that has the engine to compensate and the kit is done in good taste, then good for them. Sorry, i was just ranting about some personal issues i have with the ricers arround town. everyone has vtec stickers and a body kit.. but couldnt tell the difference between a short block and a crankshaft, and have a d series with no mods.. accept meybe a fartcan and an intake. like the last guy said.. too much hastle to keep it lookin' good.. scratches, cracks.. where as the money gone into making the car look pretty, could have gone into making it go fast and turn hard. oh well. no harm intended, i guess if bodykit's are your cup of tea, drink up. but as for me...
