I've been kicking around the idea of doing the JDM ITR front end conversion on my 99 GSR but I have some questions on cost. I found non HID kits ranging from 3 g's new to 1600 used. I'm curious to find how much people have spent on the TOTAL coversion inluding install (# of hrs it took and problems you may have run into) and painting. I'm trying to get a ballpark figure on cost before I drop the cash. Any info you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

 

ok well you know the cost of the kit, cost of painting and installing will range anywhere between $1000-$1600 depending on where you go. i'd say take it to a shop that knows how it works and even possibly has done a front end conversion.

 

Like he said, cost of the kit will range from say 1600 to 3000 depending on whether you get the lip, what kind of headlamps, etc.

Then install will probably range from 200 to 600(welding req)

Paint costs depends on where you go... don't be cheap on this.

if you're really interested, get a quote from IC Roger, he has some great prices on jdm conv. and is located in so cal as well... so you can pick up that parts. If you want a referral for the install... i kno a guy near you, in downey taht can do the welding for only 250. Let me kno.
