K20a into Lotus Exige
I know you guys dislike the RSX (I do too) but I'll show you this anyway. Reminds me of the kit that was showcased a few months ago in SCC.

After reading the information on the page about how it walked away from a porsche and topped a ferrari by like 20mph in a straight I almost wet myself!!!!!
Talk about a dream car......
I really hope that we get that engine coming over in an RSX-R, no one can really deny the power that the K20 is making....
WOW

How many Lotus's do you see running around on the street? Junk with a new cover.
Not to say the motor is junk, just Lotus in general.

Know ur facts before saying such things
Anyone know why honda chose to reverse the engine in the rsx,Si, etc..
(intake manifold in front and exhaust manifold towards the back)

1) move the engine back to improve weight distribution. Just look at all the H22a based Honda fwd touring cars and you will see the engine's intake and exhaust is swapped around and pushed as far back as possible.
2) reduce emmissions by reducing the amount of exhaust piping before the cat
It's different but it is definately a fundamental step forward.
speculation by some that it was to prevent tuners from bolting a turbo on is a bit extreme in my opinion, besides it's been done.
...the real reasoning is to encourage other makes who "borrow" engines to choose a honda platform (i.e. : kia, etc)...
most other makes besides honda run a clockwise rotation.....

Nice.
Oh, I do hate the DC5, but that is due to it's inferior suspension and lack of mechanical feedback. It's a shame the K20A and K20A2 are wasted on such a crummy chassis.
Oh, and I still find it amusing that people seem to think that the manifolds are reversed due to the change in the direction the engine rotates! As if the two changes are related...

Honda didn't reverse it, they just went to the normal configuration just about every other inline transverse motor uses

Members of this board have always been proud that a company with the prestige of Lotus and its reputation for performance perfection chose the ITR motors for this wonderful little car.
These are neat bastardized cars (
) but there's nothing wrong with a factory-prepped version.
