Default Help with Brakes?

I am buying a 94 GSR with 172000 miles and have been told i need to change the brakes. Any suggestions...i need the entire package, lines and all. any help will be appreciated. I dont want to spend a ton of money but am willing to if it is necessary. please list sites that may have good prrices as well

That sounds pretty radical. Who told you you needed the entire package? Better yet, why do they think you need it?? Ask them specifically WHY do you need the entire system, post back with their answer. Don't accept an answer of "its all shot". Make 'em tell you what's shot about it.

It seems unlikely you'd need EVERYTHING, but its possible. Maybe most of your stuff is so rusty that any shop would be afraid to trust any part of it. It's also possible that they just saw you coming...

Sounds wierd that you would need every thing. My Wifes Integra has 150,000 miles and has the orginal brake lines. You probably need some new rotors, Colleti Motorsports and cough Nopi Inline cough sell brembo oem replacement rotors at a pretty good price, and brake pads, I would recommend Axxis Ultimates you can get the from http://www.cobaltfriction.com/ , and you should be set.
