Not bad, just loud. Throws a CEL on 0bd2 cars.

well it depends on what you mean by bad. Your car will emit higher emissions and may be a little louder. On the other hand, it might gain a couple hp. I suggest you put a a cat. It's piece of mind about the environment and you don't have to worry when it comes time for the emmision tests.

Not at all, The only reason they are there is emissions like stated before.
Be thankful you do not live in a cold climate area. Without the cat it will
take a little longer to get heat in the vehicle.

Thats weird of Florida to take out emission like that. I'm surprised they're not getting stricter like everywhere else.

I think it's 10 days until your 5 posts per day limit ends and 20 days until you can recieve personal messages.

the EPA owns smog laws and are national. They tag teamed up with the DOT and came up with some neat things for people who remove thier cats.

A: owner of car: 5,000 dollar fine and up to 6months in jail 1st time

B: shop who does it: 25,000 dollar fine and up to 5 years in jail 1st time.

Is it really worth 1-2 hp when a cop pulls you over and finds your without one ?
When you put it that way, it REALLY isn't worth it. just get a Carsound cat for like $100. It still has pretty good flow.

i believe it's 3k...but 5k sounds about right too. and i think it's only in california or high population densities. what cop in vermont or florida checks? i think test pipes would be ideal for FI tho, since the bov[is it bov? the sound of the turbo?] cancels out the sound of the exhaust.

Also, keep in mind, with your initial mods, a test pipe isn't going to make a huge difference in performance.
