take the cap off where your mirror bolts to your roof inside your car, unbolt the three bolts you see there, take off mirror. put the roof console on there, put the mirror on, bolt it all up.
That Is NOT how you remove and/or install the roof console. Do it that way and you will damage either the cap or roof liner.
1. You grab the arm that comes out of the mount to the mirror itself and yank down on it, The Mirror and the Cap come off.
2. Unscrew the 3 phillips screws that hold the base to the roof.
3. Remove the cap off of the mirror arm.
4. Unscrew the single screw on the mirror arm, Place the base on top of the arm and put the screw back in. The Base is now mounted back onto the mirror arm.
5. Have someone hold the roof console in place, Place the mirror base over the roof console bracket.
6. Put in the 3 screws and tighten them down.
7. Pop the cap back onto the base.
