I don't see why the thumbs down, unless he painted it like yellow, white and red or something nasty. I think it looks good if it was painted a neutral color such as black, especially if it was a nasty brown or light blue interior.

Nasty because it is cheesy and will flake off in a matter of no time.

I see that stuff all the time at my shop. People come in wanting there interior parts painted and I always talk them out of it or let them buy the paint and do it themselves. I will not let myself be responsible for something nasty and ricey like that.

Yeah, the paint wont stay on for to long, you have to remember that. So if you like to paint then paint your plastics because you will have to do it again and again!

I got some pieces painted Milano Red in my Si...and they didnt flake off...on the left door arm rest there is a little wearing in the clearcoat after 2 years because I always rest my elbow there...but if you prep/paint it correctly it will last a few years easily...but I will repaint them this year black since I'm getting my arm rests upholstered in red Sparco fabric!

Best pic I got...and I am not afraid to post it either!

I agree if you prep it right. plus there is a special primmer for plastic .. it the simillar primmer on your stock bumpers ... there for no flakes .
