So you got your integra LS swap, but no teg throttle cable? civic mount won't work!
This thread is actually per an IM conversation that I had with EF9_Sir about doing an LS swap in 92-95 civic.
Like me, some people get their swap, but the throttle cable isn't include and the civic one won't work for what could be various reasons. In my case I recieved a '96 b18b, but no LS throttle cable. I didn't want to have to go hunt junk yards or wait and order the right one. I noticed that my cx cable was long enough and thought I could just use my civic throttle cable mount (pic #1) on the LS intake mani. Unfortunately the bolt pattern and location were way off. I also couldn't use the integra mount because of where it held the cable (the exposed cable wasn't long enough to reach the TB). At this point I was sort of screwed. Fortunately my friend and I were able to make our own mount (pic #2,3,4) out of aluminum (he's a good fab. and welder).
We basically attached the cable to the TB and held it at a location that let it operate normally. Using just a flat piece of alum. we marked the mounting location, drilled, and then continued by deciding where to bend the alum to get the proper mounting location. It was nice that the cable had the threaded end for fine adjustment afterwards. The main difference between the LS and civic cables that I noticed was the extra length of exposed cable on the LS which allowed it to be held to the left of the mounting holes and not the right, which is what we had to do to make the cx cable work.
If you are having trouble understanding or visualizing what I'm talking about just look at the mount we made and imagine it flipped to the right (180 degrees). You would be trying to hold the cable about 5" from where the civic cable wants to be mounted (not good). That's what the LS mount looked like. Unfortunately I was unable to locate the orignal LS mount for a good comparison, but I hope this helps.

Edit: I hope the pics are sized ok, maybe a little too big

I always thought the ls throtle cable came in from the passenger side much like the gsr but just at a striaght angle, so didnt you have to change the pulley?
I just bought an LS cable at the dealer. It was only like $30...

EDIT: Here is pic (not mine, actually a GSR engine). This is what the mount that came with the LS actually looked like. It's hard to see, but the cable is a few inches longer and it actually mounts closer the right side of the mani as apposed to the mount that we made for mine.

Yeah, but creativity beats "lazyness" anyday...
