I just put in my 7000k kit from http://www.misterjung.com and it looks bad ***! I have never tried any other kits though so I cannot comment on the catz system.

should have gone with 4300K HID, way more light.

And I'm pretty sure Catz doesn't make their own ballasts. I think they use Panasonic ballasts, which I think is also what Nissan uses. Not sure about Honda.

Shut up. Everyone knows the Silverstars burn out after like 2 weeks of using them.

Did you get your fingerprints or touch the bulb when installing it?

That's strange. Are you sure it's not a wiring issue? Those bulbs are supposed to last for at least 3000 hours (if they're not generic). What brand is your kit anyway?

Not the Korean made bulbs I dunno about Mr.Jung.. I have heard some bad press lately.

Catz does not make their own ballasts, but they do offer a complete kit. Keep in mind there are many "Philips Kits" out there with all kinds of different components. Philips themselves do not make an aftermarket kit. Catz uses the latest generation of Matsushita (Parent of Panasonic) ballasts which are OEM in Acura/Honda, Lexus/Toyota, Nissan/Infiniti.

"Does Philips make HID conversion kit?
No, anyone trying to sell you a kit made by Philips is is a scam. Philips has a world wide reputation to take of and will never make something that can be unsafe. Bulb and ballast might be made by Philips, but Philips will only be a 3rd party supplier of parts to the person or company that puts the kit together. As you can see in the "How do I recognice that a HID kit is worth buying?" section, there are more parts and ingenuety going into a high quality conversion kit. "

Well I left the bulb in the plastic untill I put it in the socket. I never touched the bulb. Wiring was all plug in so that was correct. Maybe just a bad bulb? The inner part looks silverish brown. If he replaces it free of charge I will be happy. Still waiting for a reply on the E-mail but it is Saturday so maybe he is closed?

Here are some pics of the Xenon Depot Kit. This is a Philips 6k on an integra GSR.

Im looking at setting up a possible groupbuy if there is enough interest.

Just to clarify... this is a kit from Mr. Jung not Catz. Jung has been known to use lower quality bulbs.

Any company that claims that "blue" or colored bulbs provide better visibility shows lack of lighting knowledge. I would be skeptical in their claims and would most likely not purchase from them.

"Want to be different? Upgrading to Rainbow Blue is nothing short of enlightening. Not only will your car get noticed, you'll have improved visibility. "

Catz has had double charged Xenon bulbs for a long time now. Not to mention they are of much higher quality.

Site also mentions the fact that their bulbs run at a cooler temperature? Give me a break, look at the picture, those are 90W bulbs (low beam). That would generate a TON more heat. This site is full of lies and deception. Perhaps the vendor has been mislead or he is clueless, but some of the claims are rediculous.
Finally, site mentions:

"MotionR is only manufacturers to have “exclusivity” to this unique and patent pending coating process"

This is BS (also fix your damn grammar. It is a business website, you should have checked all your grammar before publishing it). Just because there is a patent pending, does not mean crap. This just means a patent application has been submitted. I am willing to bet that as soon as the patent examiner reads the application, it will be rejected.
