Which tires are better for daily driven street, looking for opinions??
Ok, I'm getting new rims, finally, and they are 16"x7 Steel Grey Slips (I know, oh well). Anyway, I've never had anything bigger than 15" and am looking for input on what tires you guys like or have had good experience with. I'm looking at getting 205/45/16 size and am looking for a good quality street tire that is designed with performance in mind, but most important is that it will last for a while. So I'm not looking at Azenis, or Paradas, but something that will last good being street driven for a daily driver. Right now I am looking at Yokohama AVS 100's, Nitto 450's, and Kumho 712's. What tires do you guys like?
Sorry man, but did you even read the post?? I said I wasn't looking at Azenis. Yes, they are good tires, but I want a tire that will last, performance is secondary. That doesn't mean I want a passenger radial, but I just don't want to replace them all the time cause these are for daily driving. Thanks anyway.

i had kuhmo supra ecsta on my MF8's 205-50-16.
this tire has a nice lip protector, and they lasted pretty long with rotation.
i would get them again good tire for the price..

yeah the khumo ecta 712s are pretty darn good for the price, i've had my tires for quite a while now and I do ALOT of driving. I have to change them soon though, darn camber wear, and i'll prob go with some more 712s.
I'm looking to get some tires for my 16x7 Slips, and right now Im looking at the Falken Ziex, (which btw, and need some more opinions on), the Sumitomo HTR+ (which only come in 205/40/16), and Nitto Extremes. I'll have to check out those other tires though...
Anyone have any opinions on the tires I just listed?
Z
Edit - The Kumho's aren't all-season btw...

what about the kumho ecsta 711's guys? I've heard both that they have poor wet traction and good wet traction, and also that they last and that they dont last. which is it? what r your guys opinions on them? they r damn cheap too!

Potenza RE730...best UTGQ300 tire I've ever driven on. Waaaaaaaaay better than Nitto NT450. Rim guard, good anti hydroplaning and wet grip, awesome dry grip for a long lasting (relatively speaking) tire.
i run a pirelli p700-z on my 99si rims . they handle great and last a long time(so far) .drove through 4 inches of snow and didn`t have one problem outta them .
I actually got something different than most others; i went with the Sumitomo HTR+ tires in 205/40/16 ( on 16 x 7 wheels ) I think they are awesome for the price, only $62 per tire from www.tirerack.com
They handle as good or BETTER than the kuhmo's but actually have snow traction. Snow traction was just as good as my stock all seasons in snow. I'm thoroughly impressed with them and would DEFINATELY buy them again. That's why I got them; i didn't want a straight dry performance tire, i didn't want a wet tire, I wanted an all season tire that performed well in all aspects.. ( sometimes that's hard to do ) This car is a daily driver and I needed a well - rounded street tire.
for Sumitomo HTR+

same here sivik2nr . with the wacky weather around tennessee you sometimes have to give alttle here and there to get a little . i`m gonna look into those next time
i have 711 kumho's (205/50) right now and they are great street tires. i'm probably gonna try the 712s when these wear out. i suggest using kumho's because they are really good tires and sticky enough for daily street use.
