Thieves ALMOST snatched my ride.
Me and my buddy were doing a swap so only his car was in the garage and i left my car outside just so that we have more space (2 car garage). We finished the swap, had a few beers and i went to sleep in my living room that outlooks the driveway and is right above my garage.
It was freezing cold outside and there was tons of snow that fell overnight, at around 4 am, i wake up thinking my alarm sounded. I thought it was in my dream or something so i didn't do anything, 5 mins later something kept telling me to just go and check. I get off the couch and what do i see. I saw marks of a car, possibly a van or SUV, on my street (remember there is fresh snow on the street and my street is in a really quiet neighbourhood, especially at 4am. From the tracks of the car there were foot steps leading to my car, the driver's door to be exact. The person who did it cleared all the snow off the window of the car and pried the window down. It was open about half and inch...and then you see foot step, very far apart (I am assuming he was running back) to the car tracks and that's it. Pretty interesting...i guess my alarm just gave off a warning before sounding and they jetted.

Damn, what state do you live in.. i wanna know if these ******* thieves are getting closer to home..

I am in Ontario/Canada.
Yes this is the second time, my old hatchback got stolen once and recovered with just a screwed ignition 3 days after it was stolen.

Wow, and some people say alarms dont do anything. 
Im glad your car is alright. I would like to find out where all these are thieves cars are and steal their cars so they know how it feels.

What's even more sad is the car is completely stock, just with cheesy '92 integra 14" rims.
i need an alarm.
Make sure to keep an eye out for your car and any suspicious people for the next few days...

Wow, that has happen before. Not sure what your state laws, but here in Florida. You are allowed two warning gun shots. If you happen to have a "No Tresspassing" signn in your property, you have every right to shoot the person.
Done this a few times throughout the years.

thieves tried to steal my 90si 10:00am broad daylight they search everything. lucky my hatch was stock, and i had a auto lock on the clutch. i was at work when this happened.

All i have to say is that if my current car gets snatched (this is my 3rd 5th gen civic btw) i will lose it. My first one got broken into numerous times so i sold it, my 2nd one got stolen...and now this one. All i've got to say is if it happens again i am giving up on Hondas. Simply not worth losing sleep over this BS. I am already paranoid as it is.
If worse comes to worse i will just buy a Hyundai Pony or K car reliant and i won't give a flying F(&#$, i will leave it outside with the doors open for all i care.
