Default Acura Carland get my thumbs down...

i ordered 2 ITR parts.. they cant get that **** right. i waited almost 3-4 weeks for my ITR VSS gear and that **** is wrong. and also the engine stiffner. damn them to hell.

can someone tell me if the USDM and JDM VSS gear are the same. cuz i ordered a ITR gear and looks just llike my LS one. looks like ill be giving Baranca Acura a call. Carland just lost a customer. they mess up too many times.

Granted their interface is kind of cryptic, I was able to get my parts realtively easily: took about 1.5 wks to get everything (and I'm on the west coast) via UPS...

Now it's just a matter of installing everything...

you should just use your LS VSS
the entire sensor/gear is the same.

the diameter of the JDM gear is smaller than the LS one.. but i will give it a try to see if it fits.

Len at baranco helped me out too..

Acura Carland has decent prices but they take forever to process/mail stuff out. I have become familiar with my Honda/Acura dealer near where I live and they match Acura Carland/Honda Automotive Parts. So I hardly ever order from them anymore.

taken from len's sig:

"Acura Parts at Discount Prices call me @ 770-961-3007 or toll free @ 888-722-7262 and ask for the Acura store. Please mention you are from Honda-Tech."

There prices are ok but I can get parts cheaper via another local Acura dealership.
I did order a pair RS interior door bezels once. They sent them in 2 different colors to me .
<never going to order from them again.

Also consider Acuraautomotiveparts.org doesn't give different part numbers for different vehicles. Like if you select a Type R and order cams you will end up getting LS cams. Pretty much always need to call them to make sure you get the right part since their database sometimes doesn't have seperate entries for different models when they should.

I've had no problems ordering from them. I would recommend them.
