Are 4th Gen Prelude Brakes Similiar to any other stock honda? Please help me out. I just purchased a set of 96 Integra Type R brakes 4x114.3 and suspension and am looking to get some new pads. My friend has a set of porterfields from a 00' Accord Ex 4 cyl. but he ended up wrecking his car and I can pick up these pads for cheap. If those wont work which pads would you recommend. Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.
No, they are not all the same. I KNOW the 4th Gen Si and VTEC have DIFFERENT calipers. The VTEC has slightly bigger calipers than the Si non vtec. I head that even the VTEC brakng is pretty bad. That was one of the complaints about the 4th Gen Lude.
I opted for the Legend calipers and VTEC rotors. I also have VTEC Axxis Ultimate brake pads. Stops MUCH better now. SOOO glad I did the upgrade. You will NEVER be sorry upgrading brakes.
I am not sure if the Type R calipers will fit. I don't see a reason why you would want to put them on a Prelude since our cars are heavier than the Type R.

Will those Legend calipers fit inside the stock rims?
It is a VERY close fit though.
I am willing to bet this mod will be one of my favorites because the car feels a lot safer because I can stop faster and firmer.
Just to let you know what you need. You will need to get the 94-95 Legend GS coupe calipers (mine were already rebuilt), 93-96 VTEC rotors, and Prelude VTEC pads. You will need shims so that the pads fit properly in the calipers.
