Suspension noise?
I have a 98 GSR 4dr and am currently running on Apexi WS coilovers. Yes, they dont make it for Integras, motified from a civic version. My question is, everytime i drive over a bump or dip, the suspension makes some major spongy sound. Help a noobie to tis board to fix tis prob.
Also, how often am i suppose to clean my filter on my cai? Do i need to clean the bypass as well?

finally, a reply. No, all dampers r fine. Noise were there when i first installed them. they were new. It sounds like the rubber top mount or something. the rubber ones that attaches at the top of the spring/strut.

Isn't that spongy sound the sound of the shocks compressing and decompressing? I know mine make that sound when I take them off and compress them and let them uncompress, they make a wet spongy sound.

No, that is not the same sound. I had Tokico adj. n Skunks before and they did not make this type of sound. Had the Tok. n S. combo for over a year. Never a noise like this. I now have this coilover for over a year too, jes found out bout this site so now I'm asking the question here.
well all you need to do to take off the coilovers and check is a floor jack and 2 jack stands, and the rest of the tools to take off the bolts. you can take it right out, the spring wont pop off unless you unscrew the middle bolt on the mount. better hope you have a spring compresser if ur gonna do that, or ur gonna have a no teeth left.......lol
My H&R springs make noise with my stock shocks.
When I turn the bolt that comes up through the well under the hood, they stop squeaking. Then a week or two later they start squeaking agian, turn the bolt and bit and they stop.. I have no idea why they do this. I was thinking about spraying some type of lithium grease in the shock.

I think it may be the top rubber mount or something. The metal piece that goes between the top of the spring and under the mount might be the cause. I guess during movement the metal piece rubs against the rubber piece or something. Can anybody confirm? Is there a remedy I can test out? Grease? When I jack up the car to adj. the height, during the lowering process I make sure the metal piece and the spring line up perfectly with the rubber piece (gap between the spring and the rubber mount as result of the lowered height). The metal piece goes snugly into the rubber mount. Any additional input would be great. Thank all who have responded.
what kind of spongy sound? like the dampers being blown? or like your camber kit squeaking.
