Best Cat back for 6th Gen Coupe?
Hey guys,
Which cat back exhaust do you guys think works best for a 6th gen coupe? I've got AEM intake and stock headers..
Right now I have a Apex RS muffler... My car has been making some funky sounds for a while now... so I've decided I'm finally going to get a new exhaust...whats a decent system to get...
Please keep in mind... I have 97K miles on my car already.. and its a 99
I drive pretty far to get to work... so I want something that is comparible to the sound of the Apex RS...
Thanks...

if you got the money i'd go with the BLING BLING Mugen twin loop....
but if your like me, try to get some custom piping and throw on an Es Oval Muffler(stock look)

Not to be ****, but isn't the 1999 Civic Coupe a 7th gen, not a 6th gen? The 6th generation consists of 1996 - 1998.
ANYWAY, if you want something that's decent and quiet, get a Apex WS exhaust. Unfortunately, there are some fitment issues but it's been covered in PLENTY on this site.
You might want to run the Greddy EVO. The fit and finish is great on this exhaust but it can get loud on the highway.
edit: spelling

actually i have to correct that statement
1996-2000 is considered 6th gen civic.... the body style didnt change but in 1999 it was upgraded to look more clean
2001 and up starts the 7th gen

Apexi World Sport or Tanabe Hyper Medallion for nice quiet sound.
Apexi N1, HKS Hiper, or Tanabe Racing Medallion for a real mean screamer.
This is just my opinion. I have a 98 Civic Coupe and I love my N1.

Ive got the apexi n1 on my 99 coupe, and i love the way it sounds. I also like the way it looks compared to the Greddy Evo imo. Also its not that loud when you are just cruising around, but then when you get on it, it can get a little noisy, but i really enjoy the deep tone on it.
