fuel/choke problem
I have an 86 accord and almost every morning it doesnt start and i was thinking it was a filter problem, but im begining to think its the choke, cuz there is this thingy i move around and sometimes it will make it start ****** can anybody tell me exactly where the choke is located ***** or any other suggestions PLEASE

Take off the air cleaner. The choke is right at the top, its a plate that closes to block of most of the air flow. It looks like a throttle, but the 'real' throttle is at the BOTTOM of the carb.
The part(s) that you want to check out are outside the carb, on one end of the shaft of the choke plate. The choke plate is supposed to be closed when everything is cold. As the engine warms up, the choke opens more & more. There's a cam which holds the throttle open a bit while the choke is on. So there's some bellcranks & push-rods & stuff that can get cruddy.
The choke shaft could be sticking, maybe full of muddy crud? More likely the mechanism that works the choke is messed up & has to be adjusted. Since you had to ask where the choke is
... Find a mechanic who's been around long enough that he knows how to mess with carburators.Thread
