This Board Blows now.
Every is too busy talking about how thier car got owned by something somehow. People with technical questions, that actually need some sort of response, not looking for fun comments, are getting owned. people, like me, come to this board, to find help and help those who need it when they can.
bascially, i posted a topic saying my car wont start, and no one replied. Now because i have no idea whats wrong with it. im missing a day of work.
Thanks alot for the technical help.

Hard to give technical help with vague info. I just replied to your other posts to make you fel better. I suuspevct if you give people useful info to help diagnose the problem there would be more help.
Naturally there are plenty of people that wouldn't volunteer any help to anyone, whether or no they could help. Just the same I think this board has a higher percentage of helpful people than most any other in the import scene. Not everyone that could offer useful help will see any particular post. I certainly did not see the post to which you refer. Had I seen it and felt I could contribute, I would have. Sorry, hope you got it sorted out.
sucks that you have to miss work but, I don't know the answer to your question...so I didn't bother trying to answer it. Same goes for most people. Give it some time, people might get around to answer it. Oh yes, by bitching about it in the "Technical" forum, you are being hypocritical.
I agree with this alot.
It seems if there is a post about rotas its 12 pages long. Or if someone has a new lip its 10 pages of thumbs up and down.
I have and seen others post real technical stuff, like building a motor up from the ground and stuff like that. These usually will only get like 2 or 3 replys. This is a tech forum and I would think lots of people would love to give info on a motor build up.
oh well tho, I still like this board.

i know, every forum has a high content of apperance. which is tolerable to an extent. i mean if you have a question on how to get your bumper off, to put on a new one, then thats one thing. posts about getting owned, my new side skirts, this that, all appearance forum can you photoshop me this, and that. all belong in the apperance forum. in the meantime, i still remain a highly technical person, looking at this board for some answers.

You must help up, before we can help you.
what I mean is we cant read your mind. You questions must be as detailed as possible.
"My car wont start" isnt telling us much. If you included the exact steps you took, and the outcome of each (such as noises, clicks, etc) then we could help you, and quicker too.

I think when it comes to technical problems allot of people just plain don't know, or are too afraid of saying something others will call dumb. I haven't researched this, but I wouldn't be surprised if in depth "technical" topics got a higher percentage of people viewing, and not posting than your typical performance/appearance thread. I too get sick of the typical "how would this look" thread, but I'm sure there are people that seek them out. My faves are technical discussions about engine design & theory, but I don't mind trying to help a fellow Honda bro troubleshoot a problem.
basically i do this. I put key in hole, and turn to position #3. nothing happens. the battery light goes out, the check engine light goes out, the seatbelt light goes out.. the mechanics of it (under the hood) nothing happens. the fuel pump turns on, everythign else seem to be ok. I can pop start the car, so therfore i know that nothing in there is seized, and it did start before last night. so i dunno how more descpritive you want me to be. the battery is brand new. as in yesterday brand new, so where does that bring me. as for me helping others, look around, i have posted with reasonable reponses to almost any techincal question in this board. So help a brother out. i mean fro real tho.
fo real tho, I replied in that thread and from what you said here, I am confident to say the smaller of the two wires connecting to the the starter motor is not connected properly.
Turn the headlights on and crank it.. do they dim? If not then read what I just said, if yes, then you got a bad battery (OR bad alternator, depending on how long the "new" battery has been in the car) because its not charging properly.

nope, that wasnt it. I noticed that there is a spot that the wire seem like it is clipped in, but it is actually just resting ont he palstic above the terminal. but mine was plugged correctly

So your starter is not turning over and you are not even hearing the click? If you want to go over the helms procedure IM me. The helms has plenty of good trouble shooting flowcharts.
correct
no click at all. im gonna go out and tighen some **** up i guess.
