Major bumpy coilovers!!!!!!
Well, I have Skunk2 coilovers, adn theve been on for about 3 weeks, give or take. The ride is sooooo annoyingly bumpy, and I am really sure why. I have heard of the possibilty that because they are new, they need to be worn in. If anyone that has had these or is running these currently, I would appreciate it if you could tell me what it could possibly be. Thanks, Shawn
No idea about the spring rate. I am questioning if the guy who installed them knew what was up. Anything you can tell me that can hopefully fix this???? Shawn
Are you running the stock struts?
BTW - Skunk2 Integra spring rates are 400/500, or 500/400 depending on which way you chose to have them installed.

I used to have a 2000 GSR, that I had Skunk2's on, and I too had that problem. After investigating, I learned that several companies use the same springs for civics and integras. Many shops know this, so when an integ owner gets springs, they order for a civic. If they do this from Skunk then they endup getting you the wrong springs and it will be bumpy as hell. If you are sure you have the correct ones, make sure the "thicker" one is in front. It is possible ther installer put the front in the back and vice versa. If you have the correct springs and were installed correctly, they should not be very bouncey.

As far ask Skunk2's go the civic fronts are the same as integra rear, when I had civic ones on my integ by mistake, I had the civic fronts on my front, this is basically what you have as your set up, only you have a stiffer spring in back. You have 500 in rear, while I had a 300 in rear. This may be a large enough difference to stop the bumpy ride.
Define 'bouncy'. With those spring rates your car will certainly jolt over variations in the road surface, but it should not continue to undulate - if it does your dampers are not matched correctly with your springs...
w/ 10kg springs (560lbs) F&R on my car, it rides pretty firm but not bumpy or bouncy.

KYB AGX's on 4F/8R w/ 6K's front and 8K's rear. Ride is stiff mind you, but no bounce. Usually the bouncing occurs from your strut not being able to control the spring or shortening the stroke to much. How low is your car? This may have something to do with it. Oh and you should swap the springs if they are 500/400. 400F/500R w/ be nice. If you upgrade struts I believe your ride will be firmer, but you will eliminate the bounce. Although I believe it all has to do with spring rates. I've ridden in an Si before that switched from very very bouncey aerospeed, which uses universal spring rates on civics from 88-00. Well I sure as hell know an 88civic dx hatch is not going to come close to weighing what a 2000 civic si will. He then switched to stock riding ground controls. Springs were only 200F/180R, but she rode smooth. You should really find out the spring ratings on the coilovers. SKUNK2's are measured in KG/MM's. Whatever the number is, just multiply by 55.88 for the lb/in conversion. With those coilovers and stock struts, I wouldn't lower the car more then .75"-1" from stock.
My suspension is fully stock, struts, shocks, etc. The only mod were the springs. I have a friend running the same coilovers on his 01 ITR, and there is a VERY noticable difference to my ride and his. When i say bouncy, i mean you can fill almost every tiny bump in the road. TIA, Shawn

BUMPY********* Sorry about that, its bumpy as hell. Shawn
I knew it was going to be bumpy, but I am confused on how much of a difference of a ride there is between my ITR and my friends with the same coilovers. He also has no other mods to the suspension. Shawn
