What tool to set lsd bearing preload?

Default What tool to set lsd bearing preload?

i'm trying to set the carrier bearing preload but what do you use to connect the lsd to the torque wrench?

the one that splines into the lsd?

i use the ATS lsd tools. kinda tough to tell from the pic, but basically it is a splined shaft that has the axle splines on one side, and a hex head on the other.

NICE!
an inexpensive solution might be to grab a broken axle's endpiece from a salvage yard, then grind a square on the non-splined end to fit a socket onto.
whallah, DIY preload torque wrench setup...
