ok my tranny is really screwed, i've heard about Honda extending the warantee on newer Preludes Transmission, but will they fix my 98 salvage? they probably won't know? im pretty sure they know its a shitty transmission if they extended the warantee...anyone know if they'll fix mine?

na they won't fix your's the warrentie is on 99-01 model's only. also i had my fixed i have a 2001 prelude. the thing is that it starting to act up again. but i'm sorry to hear that its only on some selected model's. my freind has a 97 and they told him he was not on the warrentie.

 

doubtful. The only way they would is if you got it from a honda dealer and they certified it. Otherwise, you're SOOL

I'm going to guess in the range of $3000 for a Howard rebuild-these do come with a warranty that is nearly bulletproof, btw. That is plus labor.
