Loss Of Power At High RPMS?
Wassup? I noticed at about 3-5k RPMS my crx doesn't want to go any faster, it seems like it loses power at that point. What would you guys suggest? The CARB is rebuilt, new fuel filters, new distributor & ignition coil, new bosch platinum +4 & ngk spark plug wires. I cannot seem to figure it out, could my timing be incorrect or have something to do with this? BTW it's an 85 1.5 CRX...
Thanks,

an engine that old might be getting a lil tired... i suggest a swap or rebuild of the engine.. check compression.. maybe u loosing some... all i can say, do a mayor tune up (new parts not just plugs and oil) and see if it helps
I have replaced alot parts on it, new alternator, new starter, catback magnaflow exhaust, si exhaust manifold, oil pan & oil pump...The only major items i see need replacing is the basic engine internals (ie. head gasket, rings, gaskets etc...) But i highly doubt the age is what's causing my issue here. It's a rather annoying problem, especially when you get onto the freeways
