Default I need motor specs between the F22b1 and F22b2.

I just picked up a f22b1 for an extra motor, thinking about building it..
But before i do anything, i was thinking today..

Is the bore and stroke the same on these two motors, along with compression, i know the f22b2 is 8:8:1.

How about the head? Are they interchangable?

Anyways, does anyone have the internal specs on both of these motors?

Any help would be great thank you.

Run a search under the name Brandon. I think he along with the help of a few others made a complete F22 engine list

The only difference between F22B1 and 2 is the head. # head is VTEC, #2 head is not. They are interchangeable. But since you have the VTEC engine, there's no point in trying to swap heads.

I think there is two models of those.
He has both non-Vtec

So they should work togather.

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt the f22b1 OBD I and the f22b2 OBD II.
now if you have a LX it would be a non-vtec? EX would be Vtec? Im running a non-vtec motor right now. I really dont care as if either motor is Vtec or non Vtec.
I know his is non Vtec along with mine.. I was just curious on internal specs on both motors.

tell me if i am wrong, thanks.

95 GaNgStA AcCoRd- thanks for the advice i will do that.

Bore 85mm

Not sure what "head specs" youre looking for
Clearances? Bearings? Ring Gap?

Help us help you by letting us know specific questions so I dont have to type the manual

Wait a minute! OBD I and OBD II have nothing to do with the issue that one is F22B1 and F22B2. OBD stands for On Board Diagnostics. OBD I computers were used pre-96, or in the 94-95 Accords. OBD II computers were used in the 96-97 Accords. Most people prefer getting OBD I computers since you are able to do more with it. OBD II computers are a little tight when it comes to finding extra HP in the ECU. But in any case, both ECUs will obviously work in your car, although I think the ECU harnesses are slightly different.
