maybe it's you? shower

honestly though, open the windows and the sunroof (presuming it's not an RS). Febrezze the **** out of it, park it outside (gotta be warm for this to work). re-apply febreeze every hour... light coats works the best.

then after the final one, park it then close the windows and sunroof, febreeze it, wake up tyhe next morning, and it'll be gone

haha.. sounds silly, but when i got my car, it had the same wierd smell to it. That's how i got rid of mine

You better watch out, having someone elses avatar (on accident) on here is like threatening someones life.

<--I know from experience.

I once ran over a plastic bag in an old car of mine and the damn thing actually melted to the cat converter.. It took a good 2 months for my car not to smell like burnt plastic. it sucked . did you run over any platic bags lately?

dont do the bleach thing unless u wanna be sick the morning after....febreeze .... or let me hold the car for an hour and smoke it out ...then you"ll have the pleasure of smelling some of the best weed the east coast has to offer...downy dryer sheets works wonders also....place 2 under both seats and just leave them till there smell is gone...

Do what I do with every car i get. Considering your in TX, its nice and warm so it shouldn't be a problem. Just pull out the seats, the mats, and the carpet. Wash the mats and carpet down with soap and water really good and let them dry. The seats you can prolly steam vac again, just do it a few times. The only other thing that could hold smell is the door panels if they r cloth. You could probably steam vac them too, just make sure you don't pul the cloth off.

fabreeze is great on apolstry and carpet however, you may have the scent coming from your vents.

Also try checking your seatbelts and headliner for the smell.

Use the febreeze in the steam vac. Mix 1/2 h2o and the febreeze. Open all doors and roof to air it out.

air spencer rocks

also since it was mentioned before, what about the mildew smell that comes from your a/c vents? Anybody find out where the mildew buildup comes from? I always air out my vents for a good 10 minutes or so after I turn off the a/c... usually turn off the a/c when I get off the freeway so mine doesn't smell that much. Dealers offer a cleaning service for the vents but it's kinda expensive... anybody try this out? I heard that spraying lysol into your vents works too. I was thinking about doing something with the air blower and feeding in lysol somewhere there so it actually gets through all the vents. Any other ideas?
