What's up people. I'm new to this board and figured i'd say whats up. Im not one of those guys who bashes on hondas...well, the ugly ones, we all know which one those are. ANyhow, i have a lot of respect and love for Hondas. before i got my first VW i was drooling over a 98 DX hatch with a GSR swap. Didn't have the money for it at the time. I now drive a 1990 Jetta VR. Love it, i still want a Honda hatch though, with a nice swap. Like a 1993 style hatch with an LS/VTec. I really dont know my honda swaps too well..but i figured if i hung around here for a while, i'll soon learn. Just as i did on VWvortex.com.

Now, can you guys show me some nice Hatches....

nice..thats exactly what im looking for. Except lower and JDM spec/black rims. Nice man.. How hard was the swap? i really need to learn all the honda engine codes and what not. Theres so many more swaps than VW has to offer. heres a motor shot..in the dark, but you get the idea

wow calm down guys. Give me some slack. Im a VW head. I can tear apart a VW with my eyes closed. Like some of you Honda gurus. The whole honda thing, I havent totally grasped it yet. Its totally 2 different styles. I do euro..you do JDM/USDM or whatever u guys call it. Im trying to learn the Honda side of things.

10 posts later..and im starting to get vibes of VWVortex over here

 

I posted pics of my car at the Vortex and they were all cool as **** about it.

I didn't catch hell from one single person over there.

I was asking about the 1.8T swaps into an A1 chassis though, so maybe they thought I was converting to the DubSide y0!

 

Try attending a meet, Tom. Totally different story. Even the vw guys I know don`t like them. lol

 

welcome! former Honda owner hear. I jumped to the inline-6 RWD camp not to long ago. I used to drive a 2000 Civic Si. Basic mods, I/H/E and ran ITR springs. It took me a few months to really start understading Hondas, but after that, it got easy. Just like it took you awhile to get into the VW thing.

It is easier to learn about Honda's once you, or someone you know has one, and is willing to learn as much as you can.

i almost bought a vr6 a while back, too heavy and not enough aftermarket support that i could easily find.

 

VWVortex use to be REALLY fun back in the day....but went to hell. Nice Jetta. I am the owner of a A2 GTi G60 and 2.0 16v. My friends own anything for 6speed 3.0 vr6 turbos to Rabbit aba turbos. Though i got the what the **** from my vw friends after buying a crx and 95 hatch, they like em know. Here is a pic of my 16v GTi.

Nice VDub. I am a former VW owner. I've owned five different A1 and A2 vehicles, all modified. It is funny because I left the VW's because the swaps were so limited and I got tired of the lack of available engines. All the guys at the old shop I worked at had Jap. cars and could go anywhere to get an engine. I searched for two months and couldn't find anyone with a decent low mileage VR6.

Anyway enough about my old crisis, welcome to H-T and enjoy your stay.

 

Well I went tout to a Vortex ATL meet at The Varsity in ATL and there were some cool folks there. It seemed as though I really clicked with like 5 or 6 of those guys.
