VTEC kicks harder w/.... READ *Good stuff*
i recently talked to the guy who does my motor work and he told me if i want my vtec to kick harder buy the '00-02 Honda Civic 1.7 liter, Oil Filter' i asked why and he said that the smaller oil filter will bump up my oil pressure which would make my vtec kick harder, doing it today.. i'll let you guys know how it is.
Just letting my fellow itr owners know. so shhh...

Pressure = F/A, or in this case F/V
Given the total volume of the oil system (filter, galleys, sump, pump) i dont expect that taking a small amount out of the oil filter volume is going to change anything in your system pressure. You're probably limited elsewhere anyways.
I dont know what you mean by "kick harder" either....... its a pressure actuated switch, operated with a solenoid. While every elegantly engineered its not terribly complex. Maybe you should test it on a dyno.
Ho-hum.....

Assuming it will increase the oil pressure, which I think it will, I would think it would make vtec kick in at a lower rpm. Should be interesting... Let us know what happens.

would the same thing happen if added more oil? but i guess you can only have so far to keep it at safe level.. i think its better than getting a smaller filter.. or better yet, keep it at recommended level and tune the car or something..

wtf are you guys talking?
Vtec is on or off...like with digital codes 1 or 0 ..........if it is 1 it is 1...if it is zero, it is zero. There is no thing like a little or a harder Vtec.
That is completely sonsense if you ask me.

you can set vtec at whichever point you want, although oil pressure has nothing to do with it.

Right. But you can turn it on at 5,000 rpm instead of 6,000 rpm right?

This is arguably one of the stupidest things I have ever heard in my entire life.
urgh
