well after over 2 months, i've completed the rebuild of my head, consisting of 00 itr cam/ valvesprings new headgasket seals etc...

car would not start it cranks has fuel i'm sure because one of my injectors were leaking...i checked the plugs-ok, wires are correct going into distributor also.
I also picked up a new battery so there's plenty of juice...the car cranks, turns, coughs but wont' start up and run!!!!!!!!!!!!!I 've got white cloud of smoke coming out of my throttle body, don't know what that is....

-could this be a timing issue???i have skunkworks (old school cam gears) when i set them at TDC i had the lines on the gears pointed at eachother exh cam gear at 3 o clock and int cam at 9 o'clock...is this correct could this be my prob???? HELP is greatly appreciated again!!!!

 

it sounds like a timing problem i wish i could help ya more but check the cam gears maybe try moving your dist

 

i'm thinking so too, i think i set the cam gears incorrect at TDC, not sure if i did, should the timing marks on the skunkworks cam gear be pointed up????i had them pointed at eachother...still doing a search

On the cam gears the number and markings should be facing up. Sounds like a timing issue with the cams.
