race car daily driver?
There is no such thing as a 'TRUELY' daily driven race car. By that I mean, if it was actually set up to be a competetive race car it would be absolutely miserable to drive it on the street for any length of time. The best you can achieve (with a civic or integra) is a fun, aggressive car that isn't too uncomfortable off the track.
Now all my expereince is in AutoX or road racing tracks so the Drag guys may beg to differ with me (their suspension setups are a lot different) but a true road race car would just be too stiff and too low for the street. My Eibach pros (Integra spec) and Koni yellows are bad enough on the cratered, decaying piece of **** strips of centuries old asphalt that pass for streets in Washington DC.

i meant, people drive cars that look like drag cars minus the windowns!
Thanks captian obvious, your really racing up the stupid posts this week
Well to be honest we are all lazy, we strip it before we run at the track and with good intentions want to put it back togather, but we lost all those little plastic parts that hold everything togather.

as for me i tradedsome guy front and rear seats. n just to save me the hastle of takking people here and there; acting likk a taxi. yia it does get extremely cold, and uncomfortably hot, but you get used to it.
I hate it when people want you to be there damn taxi. Some guys fell that they need all that extra stuff that's there. They may choose to race the car very often and every blue moon they might drive it to work, out to eat, date, etc. It's what they want to do. Some guys like there car to be weightless at all times. Any of the stuff isn't needed just won't be there plain and simple. Personally, IMO when you have a car stripped to be painted and the interior of your car is the exact same color as your exterior, that is tight as hell. B18C5-EH2 is a perfect example. It is drag/clean daily driven car. Don't knock it until you try it. And if you try it and you still don't like it then that's too bad. This is what these people want to do and feel comfortable doing it.
1 seater is not bad at all.. without the passenger seat, that area becomes a whole floor you can dump you stuff all over on. I had my books, food, papers all over the floor. and with a CRX, it sits low so its all easy access.
i guess mines was pretty close to a race car. no interior, just dash and steering wheel and seats. 1440lbs CRX HF

Well it is simple we do if for the performance and to get the fullest enjoyment out of our creations besides when u get behind these controls u will understand

When the noise of the road and the car get to u on long trips do what I do
Hard core is not for everybody but for those of us that want the full experiance there is no other way we would want it. Oh did I mention I have no AC

Damn, no ac. I`m forced to give you props now. Anybody that rolls around in the 909 w/ their windows down is either hardcore or has so sense of smell
Jack Hariss' ECHC H1 champion car, won every race entered, drove car to and from every race, daily driven, still had carpet, a/c, and radio. No weight reductions what soever. "race car" is a very loose term.
why do u drive their race/track car daily? they strip the capet. they take out the seats, door panels.. thats must be cold! just why?

that's like saying big shrimp. there's no such thing as a daily driven race car. i would have to agree with 92SleepR...a race car would be miserable on surface streets...not to mention the gas mileage...
