Default ITR forum or Members Forum question.

First off, Im not posting this to try and pick at ANY moderators nerves. But, lets say if we have a race MPG that doesnt fully relate to ITR's or a question about testing driving the new STi, would you allow us to post in here since Members Corner is closed down (temporarily?).

The reason why I ask this is because sometimes the members would like to share something thats SEMI OT and sometimes OT with this forum.

Would the moderators of this forum allow these posts to stay here?

Post it here . What are they going to do, shut down the ITR forum too? The ITR forum and the members forum make up as much ad revenue as all the other forums combined.

Agreed. Hell, I bet there are nearly as many former ITR owners that lurk/post here as current ITR owners.

Gotta challenge the reference to the Members Corner generating revenue.
lol. Pure speculation...
I'm assuming that the banners are either pay per view or pay per click. If they're pay per view, then the ITR forum+ the members forum generate as many hits as all the rest of honda-tech combined. If its pay per click, I wouldn't think the member corner would be that much less likely to click the banners. But you could be right that the members corner could have a disproportionate amount of kids with no money and no car.

I'm guessing me and OG Bizzle would be ok with that.

Iron Maiden rules btw.

Why not the Road Racing Forum?

Let RJ think about it. He likes thinking.
The ads are paid on a per month basis.

https://honda-tech.com/ad_pricing.html

And i really think that the advertisers really dont care whether MC gets tossed in the circular file or not. It has started to become what AAG was, and thats not good. The actions of a few immature members has reflected poorly on the group as a whole.

And george... i suppose race videos are an ok post in RR/AX. It gives us something to salivate over until the season starts.

NOPE, Flat Advertising Monthly Fee. No Dollar per clicks or views etc.

Closing Members Corner has NOTHING to do with Revenue, it has to do with the worthless nonsense that 75% of the members were posting. These forums are a tech forum, So no MC type posts will not be allowed here (Except Ryans 80's Trivia Posts ) The only ones we will allow are the usual OT we get, If it increases because of MC shutting down the thread will be shut down and possibly docking of points.

I find it strange that MC was shut down because of too many stupid posts about sex and drugs.

And yet one of the banner ads shows the bare *** of a chick with her legs spread (which looks like a **** banner btw).

Double standard??

"Give people an inch and they will take a mile."

For anyone who is complaining you should take a look at the strict policies in the other Honda-Tech forums and see how leanient and nice your ITR Forum moderators are to you all.

To the ITR forum moderators, keep up the good work.

What kind of weed are you smokin? Did vtecvoodoo hook you up?

Migs, what is your problem?

You think someone who never posts here should just post OT stuff?

I think not.

You think that someone like yoshi, george, asahi, mugenmike, etc, etc, etc, who posts about 99% of their posts in the ITR forum deserves no liberties by sharing something slightly OT with the community that they spend the MOST time with??

I think so.

Migs - for the second time, I am not implying anything related to you. Ok? I edited my post. I tried to make a new post to tell you what i was saying but you had deleted the post i was replying to, so it didnt' go through.

Dumb posts/threads (from another forum) like this are what i was talking about:

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
with members corner, this was the funniest and most amusing site around, now with out it...its just another tech-site
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not you Migs.

Cliff Notes: misunderstanding resolved through IMs.
