Default Midwest SpeedtrialUSA info...

I emailed Brian last night about the 2003 Midwest schedule/plans. His reply was ...

Hello Aaron,

Here is what we have SET at GingerMan for now:

Saturday, April 19
Saturday, October 11

We are looking into other tracks for additional dates, but nothing is
for sure yet. Also, we may pick up October 12 and run a full weekend
event. As always, we appreciate your support and the continued support
of the H-T community. I will post something on H-T as we get a little
closer to the first event.

Race-on,
Brian.

Hmmm, where will I be the weekend after Expo?

Probably since when you click "Schedule" on their webpage, all it shows is West Coast.

If they have dates set for other tracks they do a good job of hiding it.

There is a good race equipment shop in streamwood. I forget the name, but I'll ask and PM you.

Got a dumb question: Anybody have a concise answer for why Speedtrial doesn't seem to do very well except in California? Don't want to start any fights. Just curious.
Not sure. The first event I did with them last Oct. had a pretty good turnout. Maybe they do better in CA because of the weather?

I would think the weather and more tracks out there to choose from too. But Im sure we show more intrest they would maybe have three events or even more out here. Funny thing, I think CGI has a event on April 20th too. 300bucks for a weekend guys(hehehe).

Oh it is believe me. No walls. I hit 115 on the front straight in my stock ITR. Haven't taken the WRX out there yet. I'd love to take the hatch out there if she doesn't sell by that time.

hehehe, your hatch. I see your taking trades. I got a 94 integra I'd trade ya. My shell for your shell. I want my motor, you keep your motor.

Then by that time, you can hope to take the TEG out there(hehehe).

Yup that sure is a nice track! I've wanted to go there for a long time, just waiting for an SUV and trailer then I would be heading west.

AFAIK, Wes (White Dragon) is somehow associated with that track. I think he instructs there but not 100% sure. Maybe he can put together a HT track day for us.

Uh...thanks but no thanks. At this point I'm not really as interested in trades now. I'm sure your Teg shell is in better shape than my hatch shell though. I like the weight advantage though.

Yes Wes is an instructor when he has time. I'm fairly associated with the track as well, but I'm no instructor. I could help setup a H-T event. Maybe I'll talk to Wes about it. When is everyone interested?

I'd be interested in either mid-late May, mid-late July or early/late August or anytime in Sept.

I'll come too. Looking forward to see/driving this track!

Mike and Aaron (and J) need someone with intelligence to get them out to Nebraska.

Okay guys, sounds like a plan.

1) No cattle mounting. That's for Iowa people only, not us Nebraskans.
2) Everyone try to decide what month you'd like to do this. Weekend? Weekday?
