I used a big *** grinding wheel, might want to take it to a welder and see if he has a plasma cutter, would mak the cut nice.

I'd say use an angle grinder with metal cutting disk, you can get a cheap no name angle grinder for about $20-$30, a nicer one from a pawn shop for around $50. Just make sure to prime and paint after grinding.

I've noticed a few people have said use a Dremel. Thats a good suggestion, but that metal is way to thick for a Dremel, its your frame rail and its hardened steel, you be there all day and go through about 50 disk. Do you have access to air tools?

A dremel may work but make sure you get the thick cutting wheels. Also get a can of WD-40 too, this will help to save the disk. Make sure you have a lot of disk because they break apart very easily. Patience is your friend.

no way in hell a dremel will cut that its not made of aluminum. Goto walmart of sears and buy an eletric angle grinder thats gonna be ur best bet if u can get air tools.

That was done w/ a plasma cutter. It will take 5 min to do both control arms with setup (like 30 seconds per cut like that). Plasma cutter owns, and it will be cheaper to have someone do it for you than to buy an angle grinder or 1500 dremel discs.
