Default Plug gapping?

I just got some NGK's and I'm pretty sure they aren't gapped. I've seen the 99 cent tools at the autoparts store that is a tapered wedge (circular, though-you know what I'm talking about). Are those good enough for adjusting gap or just checking it? I know there is another type of adjuster that has multiple blades of different thicknesses. Should I get that instead?

i'm sure those will be fine, there are other ways like you mentioned but i dont see a problem using a 99cent spark plug gapper as opposed to a $15 snap-on deal which is the same thing
