should i raisemy FP?? Does it make sense to any1?
alright i have an LS/vtec w/ctr pistons and ctr cams(high cmp). (330 inj.) During the warmer weather my car was running alright (still pinged because it was not yet tuned) and the FP guage read 30psi. Now its alot colder here in jersey.(-5degree weather) and the car seems to be pinging more. Should i put put up the FP. PLease i need help or info.. SOME TYPE OF FEED BACK
30 psi sounds too low, my car stock is 32 psi on a sohc. i would raise it up to 35+ at least, the only way to know what to adjust your fp to is dyno.
well i was told that with the injectors i have (330) 30- 32 psi is suffiecient but with this weather i dont know........
Even with the injectors, 30 still counds kinda low. Try bumping it to 35-37 and see if that solves your problems. And if your pinging, that sounds like you need tuning asap. What octane gas do you run?
I agree, even with those bigger injectors, you should move the fuel pressure up little by little, to see if it makes a difference. But with your set up (which sounds really nice btw) you really need to jump on a dyno to get set up properly.
the car runs strong without tunning but i want more power........definetly on the way... i use 94 otane plus a few boosters+
Get it tuned, and it will feel even better/smoother. If you got a good dyno tuner, the difference in power could be huge.
