Surge @1500 - 2300RPM
90 CRX-dx 1.5L PGM-FI throttle body. Between this rpm range the engine sounds like fuel is being cut-off momentarily. I have changed O2 sensor, checked vacuum lines, timing, plugs and wires. I am leaning to the tps but not really sure. Seems to have to be warmed up before it does this. I also changed the fuel filter but still has the same problem. Was running fine until I got water into the distributor. Had to be towed in. Removed water and drove about 1 week and now this problem. I have also bypassed the cat, but it didn't help either. If I unplug coolant sensor or the tps sensor the problem quits but then I get all of the associated ecu error codes popping up. I am about out of ideas. Could the problem be in the ignitor or distributor somewhere? I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

usually a surging idle is the eacv( idle air control valve). Try removing it and cleaning it up a bit. There is a small screen that can get clogged causing this condition. Use some throttle body cleaner and clean the screen. Reinstall it and reset the ecu. Good luck!
purge the coolant. make sure there is no air packets/bubbles in the cooling system.
also, make sure tps is set right and functioning, as well as no vacuum leaks at the throttle body.
