Default b16a TDC question. timing belt/timing gears.

Ok, here we go. I replaced the timing belt.
I had it TDC.

Well the gears say up. so of course they point up. Also the crankshaft is pointing to its TDC marker.

Well I was reading the manual. And it said the 2 little markers should be exactly together in the middle. The little marks on the timing gears. So they are. but when they are. The UP marker doesnt point exactly straight up. And i forgot how it was before. So now im scared to start my motor. Are the 2 little marks the only ones to worry about being dead on? or should the up marks be perfectly up too.

Thanks.

You need 2 5mm Pins to lock the cams @ TDC and set the crank pully @ TDC.
Check under engine and then Timing belt here. You will need Acrobat Reader to view this manual.

Hope the link works
