4-1 dc header, did you have to cut the cross member
Did you have to cut the cross member with the u.s version of the 4-1 dc header. I hear some people don't then I hear some people do. So whats the deal ? Aslo if you did, did you cut it or just bang it alittle.
it depends on what mount kit you have. i had an old school place racing kit that put the motor really close to the front of the car. so to get mine on i had to remove the cross-member and bang it out with a sledge hammer. with newer hasport kits all you have to do its just remove the cross member, put the header on, and then put the cross member back on.
I had to cut my crossmember and bang it in a little bit to fit my jdm dc 4-1. should be same for any b series 4-1

Dude have fun putting that in. If you have a B16 you have to pull the radiator and cross member. Now, you have to cut about 4 inches off the lip of the cross member and then hammer the **** out of it. It took me about 5 times to get it to mount, but it is rubbing the header so it is vibrating the whole car.

Why would I need to remove the radiator ? If I need to cut the cross member I will either take it off or do it from the bottom. Any suggestion on what to use to cut it ? Also I understand if I take the crossmember out the radiator might fall so that would be why I need to take it out. Also if I take the cross member off will I need an alignment. I heard yes and no's for this question to.

If I had the extra money I would, but anyways anyone else ? If I can avoid taking the crossmember out that would be great, I was thinking of cutting it with a torch but that would come pretty close to the oil pan. Maybe a saw of some sort ? Any ideas. I wish I had a plasma cutter.
