Default SHOCK knock!

OKAY....so i figured out that i have shock knock from some of the posts on the web. And someone mentioned that the rear shock knock can be cured by adding washers (Halfords body repair washers to be exact). Information can be found here: http://www.prelude.clara.net/prelshok.htm

My question is does anyone know where exactly can I find these washers? Also I was wondering if anyone has fixed this problem before and how exactly did they do it.

I'm also thinking that maybe i can just buy one of the original washers from the prelude shock assembly and use those to fix the problem instead of buying the Halford stuff i can't seem to find anywhere.

I have seen this site before and don't know what the hell Halford washers are. I tried using some washers from Home Depot, but they didn't help any.

By the way, what's the (long term?) effect of this? What happens if I decide to let it be...

I meant if I don't fix the sound...what's gonna happen to my car...will the shock break loose from the body or something from the concinuous vibration?
Ayhow, I have to bring my car in for something else so I guess I'll have them do this as well.
