I don't need to go into details and this is NOT up for debate nor is it my decisiuon, but the Members' Corner is closed for an indefinate amount of time due to how shitty that forum became.

Here is my warning to you all who used that forum to get your post copunts up and basically post-***** about retarded-*** topics:

IF YOU POST ***** OR POST MEMBERS' CORNER-TYPE THREADS HERE I WILL MAKE YOU WISH YOU HAD NOT DONE SUCH A THING.

This could be a nice fat % point dedection, your post count lowering or going back to zero, a "look at how stupid I am" type of title, or a straight up ban if you really ask for it.

Re-read the rules for this forum and if you follow those you'll be fine.

My bottom line?

I don't want any threads in here that should have been in the now-closed Members' Corner. It had better have a direct relation to the 1992-2000 Honda Civic or you will hate me.

Fine with me. Dustin is a level headed guy, and very anti ricer and pro tech so if he felt that the MC was taking away from the site then he was most likely rite in making that decision. Plus its his website so if he wanted to he could name us assclown1 and up. Im just very happy to have acces to a great site like this.

I read your forum outlines. I get 2% off. And my post cut in half. You do not even know the story. My pissed right now. FIRST OFF... my thread tonite on how loud your stock speakers can go was BY NO MEANS AT ALL post whoring. I wanted to know how loud the goddamn things could go, safely. THEN i just get bashed by everyone up and down about how I should try and do it myself and blow them. Which makes no sense at all. So i got pretty mad about that. Next in line this guy says i was trying to pass 500 posts. Well holy ****. I was trying to be ( unlike a lot of people here with poles up their asses ) light hearted. So while trying to be kind and not create a fight... this guy tells you Tom, in effect im a post *****. You take his word for it without knowing the story. And penalize me in two ways. THE reason I made that post in this particular forum was because i knew for a FACT that people had Rota Circuit8's in this Forum. Including you Tom. I did get the help I needed from that post. I had over 500 when I said that and while trying to be a bit comical i get blasted. Amazing showing of BS tonite. I've been a member here since early early in the summer. 7 months about and finally 500 posts. You know the forum and the way it goes Tom that is not post whoring.

The numbers dont bother me. The fact that I got BS'd all over tonite while trying to gain some knowledge is insane. THIS FORUM AS EVERYONE KNOW IS FOR TECHNICAL QUESTIONS. I Ask one. And I get FLAMED??!?! I have reason to be upset when I use this forum the way I should and people want to jump on me and flame to make themselves feel bigger, or try to make others laugh at my expense on a perfecty valid question.

There was nothing valid about a question asking how loud you can blast your speakers. It is a common sense thing, and also a preference thing. Who here is going to know how much bass or treble you like in your music? Short of calling the psychic hotline how am I or anyone here going to know? You do understand that the amount of bass in a song can affect the way that the speaker sounds? Especially at high volumes. That is why YOU and YOU alone can know how loud to turn your music up. So heres your solution, turn your music up loud and adjust your bass and treble accordingly. Your stock honda pioneer speakers are very forgiving, I know because I abused mine regularly. If you find that when you turn up your volume to a certain level it is displeasing to the ear then for god sakes turn it down some. It really isnt that hard. I don't understand why you felt like someone should hold your hand for this ****.

Well... damn instead of flaming me and accusing me of post whoring you could have answered my question. After all.. you did visit my post 3 times or more. That way my question would have been answered ( they way it should be done ) and that would have been the end of it.

No More MC..?? Damn.. that sucks. I kinda liked reading all the BS and topics of random jibberish. I agree that there where some stupid threads on there and some just plain idiotic. But threads about PS2, MP3, game sites, etc where pretty informative. Rather then shut down the whole forum couldnt there have been some compromise? Like perhaps deleting the thread and docking % points from the thread creator. Oh well.. its not my site.. just sad to see it go.

 

When ClubSi changed it's image it lost probably half or more of its members, many of them, including me, came to Honda-Tech. Lately Honda-Tech has been getting worse and worse, and I really don't know why. I have learned a lot here but it was all from searching for older threads.

I have a feeling soon enough many people will jump ship from Honda-Tech and go on to various other forums. dustin doesn't even really give a **** about this site from what I have observed.

You know what I don't get? The whole god damn point of a member's corner is so that there are no OT posts in the Tech forums.I think the problem is the moderators just suck *** on this site. When B18C5-EH2 took over moderation of this forum, it improved atleast 200%, way more technical posts and people started helping eachother. The other forums however seem to have gotten 200% worse. I think I'll just start coming here for technical reasons and going to Off-topic.net for everything else. I really like this place and the people here, but I can't even talk to them about thing's other than Honda's now.

 

man, every time i had a problem i wanted to discuss with everyone, or just had a non-car related question or topic i wanted to talk about, i knew i could always turn to the members corner. Instead of closing it, why doesnt some mod just delete some of the stupid threads, or how about not care so much, i looked at it many times a day and it wasnt as bad as your putting it.
